Despite the name, there’s nothing authentically “Irish” about McStew’s. Instead, it leans into being a neighborhood spot for locals and sports fans, with TVs tuned to the game and live music on the other half of the bar adding much-needed variety. The real highlight is the terrific beer take-out selection, which makes it a convenient stop if you’re stocking up. As a place to hang out, it’s serviceable but not particularly memorable — better suited for regulars who know what to expect than for those seeking a themed pub experience.
